Inspiration: There was a nonchalance to palmer//hardings summer 18 collection that’s not casual but more assertive and expressive. It’s power dressing for women but without the overtly masculine signifiers. It’s confidence without the showiness. It’s about finding clarity amongst the fragments of memory and dressing with intent. The hair inspiration came from a sculptress, who casually ties her hair back to get on with her work. A matte finish was achieved to give the styling a relaxed feel.
The Look: Crimpers slightly touched the hair to add a hint of texture, with a rough circular section taken and tied in a pony which was then twisted into a knot. This look was then finished with a hold product and parts were randomly pinned back to achieve the relaxed and undone style.
How: "It had to look effortless. Its working hair, she nonchalantly ties her back off her face so she can get to work" Says Gareth Vance, Sassoon Team Leader
