For New York Fashion Week – SS14, the Sassoon team, led by Creative Director Michael Forrey, styled the ThreeAsFour presentation at the Jewish Museum on Sunday, Sept. 8.

With the ThreeAsFour SS14 collection drawing inspiration from mosaic tiles, the resulting pieces took on an extremely architectural and geometric feel that complemented the quintessential Sassoon aesthetic. Specifically, Michael developed a look that pays homage to the "Classic Lopsided Asymmetric Cut", a legendary design that Roger Thompson created for Sassoon in 1964. “I felt the hair should be cut asymmetrically to juxtapose the symmetrical pieces that ThreeAsFour presented,” he explains.

Short, defined cuts epitomize the hair looks, and Michael selected ginger-colored wigs due to the ThreeAsFour collection’s color palette of black and white, as he wanted the hair to add a pop of color and bring warmth to the styles.
