Titled ‘Back to the Garden’ - a lyric borrowed from Joni Mitchell’s bohemian ballad about famed free-spirited festival Woodstock, the collection is filled with ombre colour fades, hand-painted psychedelic butterflies, paisley prints and golden embellishment. Oversized sleeves, scallop edging and floatier Woodstock inspired shapes are juxtaposed against more structured minis, feel-good flares and sharp lapels reminiscent of the swinging 60s of London’s King’s Road. The founders’ personal vintage accessories, silk scarves and iconic Terry de Havilland signature platforms completed the looks.
The accompanying hair and beauty looks brought to life a nostalgic 60s flower child. NARS Cosmetics provided a dewy glowing base, glossy nude lip and jet-black long lashes paired with statement metallic multi-colour stripe eyelids and hippie inspired hand-painted flowers and hearts upon eyes, cheekbones or forehead. SASSOON Salon delivered a sleek 60s look with a centre parted hair featuring two neat plaits framing the face. Nails were manicured by Secret Spa with freely drawn hippie daisy designs.
