To mark the 65th anniversary of Sassoon, the Salon Collection puts the emphasis back on the brands essential characteristics; classic wearable hair, underpinned by impeccable technique.
The looks are elegant in a déshabillé way with a certain mood of looseness in the cuts that accentuates the appearance of tactile texture that reference the classic Sassoon styles The Mouche and The Veil, both iconic layered looks of the early seventies. What creates newness here is the addition of intricate sectioning patterns and reverse layering, a fresh innovation from the creative team that creates gentle texture and movement inside these ultra-sultry shapes.
Asymmetrical panels that are either curved or trapezoid are placed to strategically accentuate the cuts and provide contrast of tone. A monochromatic palette highlights the internal dynamic of the cuts where accent shades of natural fawn peek out from a base colour of cool blonde or a base of cool dark brown is accentuated by soft blonde sections. The idea is to add to, rather than take away from the persons own look.
