Inspiration: Libertine's Fall-Winter 2018 show, held in Gallery II at Spring Studios brought the usual maximalist approach to design to the forefront for a presentation full of color, fringe, patchwork, sparkles and Cher. He told Vogue after the show that he thinks "that one of the greatest forms of resistance that a creative person can do is to just create beauty and take it as far as they can", so that's what he did with his latest batch of men's and women's clothing
The Look: Very low, side swept areas with a curved hairline were created. A finger wave texture, created using 3 barrel tongs was then added. Underneath was crimped for added volume at roots and to create a small padding for the waves which sat on top. Pins were then used to grip the hair around the face at ear level to capture the 1930’s style.
“I wanted to finish with a look that was just as creative as the collection.” Says Elaine Mitchell, Sassoon Team Leader
