2020.1 COLLECTION

SassoonHausNow

CUTTING TECHNIQUE
The looks of the collection are tailored to the individual and are designed as a study of the relationship between the artist and the muse, where the hair is imagined by the creator but is designed to reflect the wearers personality.
The linear nature of the shapes derive their inspiration from classic Sassoon techniques that utilise the principles of the geometric approach where form follows function and are finished in a modern way, gently ruffled and mussed up on the surface to represent a lived-in aesthetic.

COLOURING TECHNIQUE
The colour applications take their cue from Bauhaus masters Klee, Kandinsky and Itten as well as Bauhausler Gertrude Grunow, who formulated theories on the relationships between sound, colour and movement.
The minimal nature of the collection cuts provide the perfect platform for a striking palette of pure tones, where asymmetrical geometric patterns are traced through the slightly undone silhouettes. Tones of cool charcoal, natural copper of her own hair with a true red and beige nude.
