Fraser began his career with Sassoon in 2000 at the London Academy where he completed a Diploma Course and began an apprenticeship before fully qualifying as a Colourist in 2002. From there, Fraser spent time in various UK Salons before transferring to San Francisco in 2006. A year later, his signature charm and strong work ethic led him to be named Assistant Colour Director and then Colour Director a further two years later. Fraser returned to the UK as Colour Director of the Edinburgh salon in 2010, where he works alongside an incredible team and imparts his extensive knowledge and skills on the younger team members who he enjoys guiding and mentoring.
There have been many career highlights for Fraser over the years, though working backstage with industry legend Annie Humphreys at the start of his career was a great honour and source of inspiration.
What inspires you and why:
I’m passionate about history, I love learning about the way we lived, what we thought, what we did, what we wore, how we interacted, and how similar we all are now.
Who do you admire and why:
There is not 1 person that I admire more than others. But I really do admire people that make the most of opportunities that come their way and strive to be the best they can.
“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that might not as well have lived at all.”
